Oops, It’s Been a Minute, again – Here’s What Happened

Hi there – it’s been a minute!

Okay… it’s been eight months since my last blog post. Quite embarrassing, I know.

Back in August 2024, I was in Scotland and wrote my last post from there – which, honestly, was pretty cool. But yeah… that was eight months ago, and not writing anything since is definitely less cool. So let’s catch up a bit with a little summary of what’s been going on:

August – September:

I spent some beautiful weeks in Scotland with a friend, and it was amazing. Around that time, Salomé started her degree program – so she’s been super busy. As for Moloxy, we took it slow over the summer and didn’t push too hard.

September – December:

When I got back home, I started working at a new job. I loved it – but balancing it with Moloxy and everything else was a lot. We had two markets during that time: one in September and one in December (our cozy Christmas market). Both went really well!

At some point, I realized I wanted to reduce my hours at my main job to invest more time in Moloxy. I really see potential here, and creating jewelry makes me so happy. People always say, “Do what you love!” – but funny how, when you actually do that, everyone suddenly starts judging you. Not nice. But honestly? I couldn’t care less. I’m a baddie, I know :)

January:

I officially switched to an 80% pensum at my job and gave that extra 20% to Moloxy. We launched a beautiful new collection with gold and silver pieces – a huge step for us!

February – March:

We had our first proper photoshoot with multiple models (yes, I was one of them!) and got absolutely stunning shots. In March, we hit 1,000 followers on Instagram – GUYS, WE LOVE YOU!!! We’ve been creating fun videos and staying consistent with our posts. It’s not just jewelry – it’s behind-the-scenes, models, moods, projects, and yes, a lot of me.

My sisters prefer to stay behind the scenes, which I totally understand. Still, sometimes it feels like Moloxy is seen as “my” brand, when in reality, we’re building it together. But hey – I love showing up, and I’m happy to represent us.

April (aka now):

We’ve received some sweet orders lately (thank you!!) and are currently planning our summer collection, which is coming in June. All I can say is: #underthesea #mermaidvibes – stay tuned, because you’re going to LOVE it.

Going forward, I want to write a new blog post each month to reflect on what we’ve done. This way, one day we can look back, laugh, and see how far we’ve come.
